About me

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2001 and since this time I have worked in a variety of health fields. Predominantly my experience has been within the mental health setting but I have also worked with clients with learning disabilities and physical health issues. I have enhanced CRB disclosure and I am happy to take NHS referrals.

Whilst working in the Mental Health setting I felt frustrated to find there appeared to be some gaps in the service and when I discovered the Human Givens Approach, and subsequently passed the Diploma course, I felt inspired and passionate that this is the missing link. It is fast, effective and practical.

I believe counselling should be a positive experience which uses a problem solving approach, focusing on resolving your current issues by building on your own resources enabling you to achieve your future goals. I am committed to helping you in as few sessions as possible and not dwelling unduly on the past. People are often surprised that longstanding issues can be improved relatively quickly with little or no distress. My aim is for you to leave each consultation feeling more calm, confident and in control, with the tools and skills you need to fulfil your potential.

If you would like more information regarding the Human Givens method of counselling please see www.hgi.org.uk or if you would like make an appointment please fill out the short contact form or call me on 07810 513 748.
